Next style use with Paragraph Styles of Adobe InDesign

InDesign allows you to set the style of the next paragraph when you are typing. For example, if after every instance of the style called Subheading you have the Body style, you can edit the Next Style option of the Subheading style so that the next paragraph after every instance of Subheading is automatically set to Body.

  • Setting the Next Style
  • In the Paragraph Styles panel double-click a paragraph style name panel to open its options.
  • In the General options, select a style in the Next Style menu.
  • Click OK.
