Adobe InDesign - Extending with XML Course
Summary
Course Aim:
The InDesign using XML course gives you an introduction to XML and how it can be used with InDesign to automate layout tasks and repurpose content into different formats. Originally created to meet the challenges of large-scale electronic publishing, XML is playing an increasingly important role in the exchange of a wide variety of data on the Web and elsewhere. Because XML is an open standard, it can be understood by a large number of applications. In this course you will learn how to import XML data from a database into an InDesign document and have it automatically formatted. You will also take the content of an InDesign page and export it to XML for use in a website or another publication.
Course Prerequisites:
The prerequisite for this course is that you have completed the InDesign Level 1 and Level 2 courses or equivalent knowledge. You must also be familiar with HTML or a similar markup language.
Course Duration:
One day 9:00am – 4:30pm
