Colour Management - Introduction Course Outline

Course Aim:
This course will overview colour management theory and workflow, profiles, setting up of workstations and Photoshop, and process of opening images within Photoshop and the conversion process. Colour Management setup of other publishing applications will be examined and include Acrobat, Illustrator and InDesign. Other topics include monitor calibration techniques, soft-proofing, printing and print-proofing of results. We will also look at profiling monitors, scanners and printers. Comprehensive AlphaCC courseware approx 200 pages.

Course Prerequisites:
Previous experience using applications on a PC or Macintosh is an essential prerequisite for this course. Intermediate (eg Photoshop Level 1 & 2) knowledge in using PhotoShop is essential.

Course Duration: One day; 9:00am - 4:30pm
